Key Team

I’m Starvin is the trading name of Basar Corporation Pty Ltd. that is made up of three directors, Roland Baumgartner, Dany Gruosso and John Sartor. Basar Corporation Pty Ltd is a private company set up by two of the existing partners in February 2002.

Roland Baumgartner

Provides the food expertise and is responsible for product development and operating systems.

Worked in various restaurants and hotels in Switzerland and Australia.

Apprenticeship as Baker/confectioner and apprenticeship as Chef in St.Gallen, Switzerland.

Setting up and running the production and development of food products under the Jones The Grocer label in April 1998.

Head Chef position at Kingsleys Steak House, Jones The Grocer in Sydney and Restaurant Weinerberg in St.Gallen, Switzerland.

Sous Chef position at the Sebel Town House, Quay West Apartments and Novotel Darling Harbour in Sydney.

Holding Chef de partie positions at the Southern Cross Hotel, Intercontinental and Bilson’s in Sydney, Merkur Restaurant in St.Gallen and Leo’s Bistro in Zurich, Switzerland.

Dany Gruosso

Dany is responsible for Accounting and Good Practise

Owner and Proprietor 90 seat restaurant La Zagara, Beverly Hills 1994 - 2001

Owner and Proprietor Bar Bafi Patisserie 1996 – 2000
